Hunger of Being Alive
When you are an immigrant or a person of color, you are living in a world created by others for others. Sometimes, to live in such a world means you are focused more on surviving than living. To focus on living may be a luxury or privilege that doesn’t seem available to you. Have you seen this in your own family, yourself, or community? What parts of us do we lose connection with when we lose the hunger of being alive? And what does it mean to reclaim a world meant for someone else?
